Broadband
If you are considering creating a website that may require constant updates, especially if you have a lot of images then using a 56K modem can take an eternity before or files are uploaded. Broadband even at lower speeds give the ability to upload faster. It must be said however, that the speed of uploading is proportionally slower than that of the download speed.
With some broadband services you are connected at all times. This offers the possibility of hosting a website on you computer. Some companies however in an effort to keep prices down will block certain so called ports thus effectively preventing you from hosting a website or mail server on your computer.
A few companies that you may like to try are listed below or in the ads on the page.
